I had Makena and Rhys in it and no one cared who's butt was on who's head and they both slept no prob! I love my stroller and am SO happy with it! Since your mom only has one grandbaby then this is a great way to have a double that can stay single until she needs it to be a double. My opinion of course!!
As for the 2 wheels vs. one I don't know as I have only eperienced one wheel......sorry!Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12362930296071161865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6738268692915780272.post-48419363748482160162009-01-09T09:31:00.000-08:002009-01-09T09:31:00.000-08:00They used to carry the Mountain Buggy at Trendy To...They used to carry the Mountain Buggy at Trendy Tots downtown.Nathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05520095410397389392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6738268692915780272.post-761372677893583052009-01-08T19:48:00.000-08:002009-01-08T19:48:00.000-08:00After your post you got me thinking about what kin...After your post you got me thinking about what kind of stroller I may want if I were to get a side by side. I found this one that I really like:http://www.mountainbuggy.com/catalog/double/double-urban/

I'm not sure where they carry them though. We got it when we knew we were expecting again... but didn't want to be driving around a double for months before baby # 2 arrived. It works great for us and like Elyshia said, it's easy for manuvering around (especially through stores!) because it's only the width of a single. As far as the 1-wheel VS. 2-wheels in the front goes... I think if she's already planning on getting one that is side by side, then I would try to find one with 2-wheels in the front. Reason being that there have been times where I've been on trails, and find that if you are on a slope trying to go straight, that the stroller wants to tip over to one side because it's not as balanced in the front with just the one wheel (does that make sense?) Again, I love the phil and ted's stroller.. but every stroller has up's a down's to it. If I were to buy a side by side in the future I'd probably get one with 2 wheels in the front. Hope that helps!Anita Gracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00502494456842172559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6738268692915780272.post-40050461412440674842009-01-07T23:29:00.000-08:002009-01-07T23:29:00.000-08:00Hi, I am Shawnas friend. I like the idea of one wheel at the front and it is so easy to use. If you get a chance you should test drive a few. I tried the double stroller and I found it too big for me. I think if you went shopping or anything you would have a tough time as they are larger then the one on top of the other.Good luck with the search and let us know what she decided on.The Samy'shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04788440089653005119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6738268692915780272.post-27738169608590012092009-01-07T14:37:00.000-08:002009-01-07T14:37:00.000-08:00Thanks gals....to reinterate, I am wondering if it...Thanks gals....to reinterate, I am wondering if it is better to have two double wheels in the front or one single wheel?
She definitely wants a side-by-side Shawna, she loved yours so much!Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00620861955712738251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6738268692915780272.post-26630819389958662562009-01-07T14:26:00.000-08:002009-01-07T14:26:00.000-08:00I don't like the P'n T's because the one child is ...I don't like the P'n T's because the one child is sitting under the other child {once there are two kids}. Which means one childs head is under the other childs butt. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to have my head right under a baby butt!

I prefer side by side, once the kids are older there is enough leg room in both the seats. It's fair. No fighting. Just sit down and hold on, Oma's driving!Shawnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02231749448608335478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6738268692915780272.post-71878638612670848872009-01-07T13:34:00.000-08:002009-01-07T13:34:00.000-08:00Hey girl... Made specifically for jogging and hiking etc. The front wheel swivels, but also can be locked... It's easier to lock the front wheel when you're jogging or off-roading or in the snow... Check out www.bobgear.com and click on the Bob Revolution Duallie. Also, it folds up really well and the rear tires come off very easy to fit in the trunk. Hope this helps!!! The internet is a great tool for that. You can check out consumer reports and such which give you lots of information:) Happy stroller hunting!Crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10268698755632170151noreply@blogger.com
