:: Sigh ::

Confession time..........
A couple weeks ago I trimmed Denay's hair with scissors because she was getting a mullet again and it was really in her eyes. It wasn't the best job but it wasn't terrible either. I've been meaning since then to get out the buzz-trimmer and get all the random long hairs and even things out. I was going to wait until tonight when Trev was home so he could help but I figured no time like the present. I made sure to put on the longer hair extension but failed to start with the longest setting and work my way down. The end result? Me in tears phoning my husband telling him me will hate me when he sees his daughter.
In reality I may just be over-reacting because her hair just looks different and it isn't like she's bald but......you ever do something that just makes you feel like a moron and sick to your stomach and want to hide in your house for two weeks until your mistake grows back?
That would be me. Notice how I haven't posted any pictures.
Of course I've already committed to swimming today with a bunch of my girlfriends who will no doubt notice my lack of expertise in the hair cutting department.
I guess I've made it clear how stupid I feel and embarassed I am.
Good thing Denay can't tell the difference and to say the least, I will know better for next time.

Oh Christy...don't worry, one day she'll cut her hair herself & I am sure it will look much worse than anything you have done!! :-) Luckily hair grows and there are super cute hats out there!! Don't worry friend...she is still such a beautiful little girl! (and nothing will change that!!)

I thought I would pop over & see what's new in your world...and I just want to let you know that I butchered my son's hair a couple of weeks ago. I too ended up in tears but thankfully their little heads seem to sprout hair back fairly quickly! She is such a little doll & is still going to look adorable! My son spent about 2 weeks sporting a touque & baseball cap! Thank goodness for hats!

In my unbiased opinion....big hair, good cut, bad cut or bald....the princess is still the princess....and we love her! Don't worry Christy...there is only three days difference between a good cut and a not-so-good cut.

Haha...

Yeah just wait until she discovers gum when your not watching, or gets a younger sister who wants to play haircut.

Hey Christy..ya ditto to all the comments! It will grow back! Not sure if it is an old wive's tale but I was told that if you keep it shorter when they are little will grow into a gorgeous thick head of hair! I did that with Brittany for years, hers is super thick! Not if that is why but anyway..
Time to rock those cute hats and hair bands!

Oh Christy I'm sorry but this made me laugh. Things like that suck at the time but boy they make good stories and are fun to look back on. My mom and Grandma did some pretty, um, rediculous things to my hair when I was little and I love the pictures-they are hilarious. I think I'm going to have to give my little girl a crazy hairdo just for the pictures!
